Brazilica Carnival will be joining us again this year for a samba meets Mad Max feast for the eyes. If you haven’t seen Brazilica before you are in for a treat as you will be delighted with dancers dressed in the Mad Max theme along with one humungous float watching over the Sound Citizens while they party the night away.
Liverpool Samba School was formed in 1995 and has taken part in festivals all over the world. In 2007 we formed the Liverpool Carnival Company, and were commissioned to produce the first Brazilian samba carnival parade in Liverpool as part of the city’s 2008 Capital of Culture celebrations. This glittering night-time parade attracted an audience of 30,000 people in its first year.
Sound City are very excited to be inviting them back again to take part as part of our Wider Arts this year. All we need from you Sound Citizens is to join the carnival party!
