The Liverpool Sound City 2015 live Music Festival Hub will be located at Nelson Dock, a stone's throw away from Liverpool City Centre. For those also attending the Sound City Conference, the event has a new home, the Titanic Hotel, which is adjacent to the new festival hub.

The new location is easily accessible by all forms of transport, but we strongly encourage car sharing and public transport in the interest of being environmentally responsible.

Below are the addresses for the Festival and Conference hubs and information on how to get there.

Shuttle Bus

These will be departing on the hour and every half hour from outside Liverpool Lime Street to take you to the site.

The pick up points will be clearly sign posted and will be located adjacent to The Liverpool Empire right next to Lime Street Station.

This is the quickest and cheapest way to get there (£2.50pp). The journey takes no more than 15 minutes. Buses will be running during the following times:

Friday 22nd May 3:30pm until 10pm

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May from 11am until 7pm


Getting the train to Liverpool Sound City couldn’t be easier with Merseyrail. Bramley Moore Dock is in walking distance from Sandhills station.

Day Saver ticket, starts from £3.70 for all day  off-peak travel. These tickets can be used after 9.30am Monday - Friday and all day on weekends and bank holidays.

If you're planning to return by train, please be aware that the last train times from Sandhills Station are:

* Towards Liverpool Central - 23:55

* Towards Southport - 23:44

* Towards Ormskirk - 23:46

* Towards Kirkby - 00:01


During busy events train timetables may be altered to strengthen the service. For up to date train times and travel information there is a handy Journey Planner at www.merseyrail.org.

Alternatively, you can plan your journey using the Merseyrail App, and also get live departure times and directions to each station. The Merseyrail App is available to download for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android.

If you are travelling to the festival by Car then there will be a limited amount of parking near the festival site... This will be sign posted, if this is full we suggest parking your car in one of the Q-Park facilities in Liverpool City Centre.

For conference attendees there is very limited parking outside the Titanic Hotel.



If you fancy walking to the hub you can follow our walking route from the Royal Liver Building to the festival hub site. The walk takes you through the historic riverside docklands and will take approximately 15 minutes.

Details of the walking route will be supplied with your tickets.



If you are flying into Liverpool for Liverpool Sound City, the two closest airports are Liverpool John Lennon Airport (10 Miles away) and Manchester International Airport (36 Miles away).

Manchester International Airport offers a train service directly from the airport to Liverpool Lime Street station.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just a short taxi ride away from the City with regular taxis available outside, or if you want to travel by train, you can get a train from Liverpool South Parkway (linked to the airport by a short bus link) to Liverpool Lime Street station, with regular trains.

Short train journeys from Liverpool Central station to Sandhills Station are also available regularly. Sandhills station is a 5 minute walk from the festival hub.
