Jimmy Pé is, with no doubt, one of the most gifted contemporary producers around. The constant presence of a melancholic and euphoric mood swings in his music became his signature.
He considers himself a creative discoverer of broken beats. With his vision of cut-up electronics he is slowly but surely gaining success. His creativity often takes him to new musical territories but at the same time he begins to uncover his own characteristic sound. Sometimes he is tending towards melancholy but always unmistakably finds the point of return and so protects the listener from darkness through the significant portion of euphoria. Recently Jimmy released his debut album Insomnia though the heading of the home label GERGAZ, of which Jimmy is an inevitable part and is one of its founders.
During his short musical career he played for four times at the famous Sziget Festival as one of the two producers of the duo The Global Optimistics, also at such festivals as Lunchmeat, Showcase Waves Festival, Pohoda Festival, Wilsonic Festival, etc. For several times he supported such famous producers, as Hudson Mohawke, Four tet, Ben Frost, Daphni, Nosaj Think and Daedelus and many others.
Jimmy released several soundtracks with various compliations and Saturated vol. 2, Mad – hop compilations, and Beat garden compilations. Over the past time he also achieved a nomination at the prestigious music awards event Radio Head Awards and he this year he was participant of Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp in Bratislava.
