JPNSGRLS — pronounced "Japanese Girls" — formed in Vancouver in 2010 with a lineup that includes Charlie Kerr, Oliver Mann, Chris McClelland & Graham Serl. The band made their debut with The Sharkweek EP in 2013, on Light Organ Records. For their first full length, Circulation, also on Light Organ, the outfit hunkered down in Vancouver's Greenhouse Studios with producer Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat, Mounties). The twelve songs, mastered by world-renowned engineer Greg Calbi (Tame Impala, St. Vincent), were tracked in just seven days and mix straight-out-of-the-garage noisiness with earworm hooks and genre-jumping eclecticism. Circulation, along with their whirlwind live show honed supporting July Talk & Mounties and at CMJ (Top Ten Bands To Watch 2014 - CMJ.com), NXNE and SXSW festivals, presents JPNSGRLS as a force to be reckoned with in 2015.
